Die Kirche

Oh, youth and the benefit of hindsight - our shows have evolved now but everything must begin somewhere.

Over a 12 month period we put on multiple shows at 'die kirche' - a flat within the church in north Bristol.

Before the landlord (Methodist church) invoked the contract power of 'Section K' clause after a raid by Bristol Police regarding noise pollution - in a strange twist of fate the church is now using the using same space as an "arts space" a decade later... perhaps we started something back in 2008.

The Church shows were enabled with the massive help of joint promoter "In It for The Money" records aka Brett and sound engineer 'Squeaky' Adrian. Using a borrowed arts house sound system intended for several hundred people in a residential space.

Die Kirche had the debut show from "Love Her Coz Shes Dead", we had "Run Walk", "Young Hollywood", "Venus Bogardus", "Nova Robotics", "Wild Stallions" and "Team Brick" / "MXLX" (who asked for a cafetière and decent coffee in his rider) among many others.

After sets of three - five bands proceedings would continue with DIY DJ sets long into the early hours.
